Get Tested!

The COVID-19 diagnostic test is safe, free, and easy. A nasal swab, oral swab, or saliva sample may be used. All New Yorkers should get tested now, whether or not you have symptoms or are at increased risk. You do NOT need insurance to get a diagnostic test.

Test and Trace

Have you tested positive for COVID-19? Need a safe place to safely separate away from home?

If you test positive, the City’s Contact Tracers will take care of you:

  • Offer you a free hotel room with 24/7 clinical support and wellness checks for you to isolate, to help you keep your family and loved ones safe
  • Facilitate health care and mental health services
  • Get meal and medication delivery

Getting Together Safely

The city is reopening, but there is still transmission of COVID-19 in New York City. As you move about the city this summer, do so safely.

Check out these tips on how you can get together with friends, visit an outdoor restaurant, get some exercise, and make your voice heard on the streets. Remember, the safest way to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is to stay home as much as possible.

HRA Burial Assistance

The Human Resources Administration (HRA), Office of Burial Services (OBS) assists individuals in need of financial assistance to meet funeral expenses for a deceased low-income New York City resident (decedent).

Family Assistance Center

American Red Cross is providing counseling support for families who have suffered a loss due to COVID-19. They have launched the virtual Family Assistance Center, which will link families to crisis counselors who provide emotional and spiritual support as well as linkage to services.
